Capital Hospital Islamabad:

Capital Hospital, Islamabad has been incorporated into the Capital Development Authority as a small daycare medical center providing preventive and curative outpatient medical facilities to employees of the Capital Development Authority in particular and residents of Islamabad in general. The need for hospital care necessitated the conversion of this day center into a hospital establishment and in March 1981 a 60-bed hospital was opened including medical and pediatric services, coronary care units, a radiology department, a laboratory for pathology, a dental clinic, a dermatology service, and a maternal and child health center.

In the second phase, the hospital's surgical block was completed, which entered service in September 1992 with the department of general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology and obstetrics, neonatology, d ophthalmology, and otolaryngology, postoperative intensive care, and first aid. the 60-bed facility was transformed into a 250-bed hospital equipped with the latest equipment and the provision of modern medical-surgical facilities for emergency patients, outpatients, and wards. In 1999, a new ward was also ordered to house outpatient clinics and a laboratory. The Hôpital de la Capitale provides free healthcare to CDA employees, their families, and dependent parents.

The hospital is also open to the general public. Outpatient consultations and emergency care are free. However, patients without entitlement are paid for the investigation and hospitalization. To provide the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, a mobile coronary care unit was established from the hospital in November 1982, as an extension of hospital coronary therapy. The hospital has the distinct privilege of introducing nuclear cardiology to Pakistan in 1985. Other cardiac diagnostic facilities available at the hospital include treadmill ECG testing, 24-hour ambulatory ECG monitoring, and echocardiography.
