Islamabad Medical and Dental College is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the country's capital Islamabad. Islamabad Medical and Dental College was established in the year 2007 and is affiliated to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, which is recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and approved by the Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan.

Islamabad Medical and Dental College is a purpose built campus with spacious lecture halls, well-equipped modern laboratories, and an extensive library, auditorium and staff offices. It is equipped with state-of-the-art teaching equipment and laboratory equipment to provide quality education in a clean and quiet environment.

It is recognized in six fields of dentistry for MBBS, BDS, Post RN-BSN, 4-year BSN, DPT, BS-MLT and Postgraduate programs. The Department of Physiology is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons for the training of FCPS Part-II. Islamabad Medical and College is proud of its renowned teaching faculty. The faculty has extensive teaching experience from national and international institutions. In addition to offering courses at the Dental College, the Dental Hospital has the best infrastructure with all the latest high tech equipment. Islamabad Dental Hospital (IDH) provides dental undergraduate and postgraduate students education as well as routine dental care and specialist dental services in all fields of dentistry.

Islamabad Medical and College has its own teaching hospital, Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital, which has all the necessary medical departments. All medical departments are well equipped to provide high quality medical care. It also has a dental hospital which is the most modern dental hospital in the city.
