University College of Medicine and Dentistry was established in 2001, is a private university located on Defense Road, Lahore, Pakistan. The University College of Medicine and Dentistry has been registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council since 2007.

University College of Medicine and Dentistry offers one of the foremost educational environments in medicine and dentistry in the country. Since its inception, UCMD has been committed to excellence in education, research, patient care and community service. UCMD's education system conforms to international education standards.

UCMD prides itself on being a place with the best facilities for students and patients,  students are being taught and patients are being managed by highly qualified educators and therapists. UCMD's teaching facilities, laboratories, pre-clinical and clinical areas, libraries, and IT centers are designed to prepare students for their best performance. UCMD has shifted from traditional teaching to problem-based education, resulting in better student management. 

The College of Medicine and Dentistry has its own "University Teaching Hospital" at Defense Road Campus, University Dental Hospital at Raiwind Road Campus, while Al-Khidmat Hospital is attached to the University to train students in various medical specialties.
