Welcome To Bahria University Medical and Dental College

Bahria University Medical and Dental College (BUMDC) was started in the second half of 2008 under the guidance of Rector, Vice Admiral Farooq Rashid HI (M) with the participation of experienced and highly educated faculty members for various fields. High quality teaching equipment was procured and all laboratories were set up. The educational journey began in 2008 with the first batch of first-year medical students. 

Bahria University is a federally chartered public sector university. Bahria University has its principal seat in Islamabad and its campuses are in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. Bahria University was established by Pakistan Navy in 2000, and since then it has consistently become one of the leading institutions of higher learning in Pakistan. It plays a key role in shaping future leaders who can make a difference in the world around them. The Navy is a comprehensive university with multi-disciplinary programs including Health Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Computer Sciences, Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Psychology and Maritime Studies.

BUMDC Progressive University, with state-of-the-art academic support covering all aspects of quality education, is a highly educated and experienced teaching faculty providing education in the market education fields. BUMDC offers MBBS and BDS programs and many more. BUMDC is open to all academically qualified candidates, regardless of gender, religion, race, creed, or domicile. 

Facilities

The building of Bahria University Medical and Dental College has 7 floors, the first 5 floors are Medical College and the upper 2 floors are in the dental section. There are 5 lecture halls with a capacity of 150 seats. There is a beautiful auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 people. All lecture halls have teaching equipment such as multimedia, sound system and air conditioning. 

There are fully equipped laboratories, museums, teaching rooms dedicated to small group teaching and a laboratory specializing in the process of equipping.  BUMDC strictly adheres to the curriculum recommended by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. However, it has been modernized in a modular system that incorporates strategies such as problem-based learning and interactive learning. Special emphasis is placed on behavioral science and medical ethics education to promote ethical values and performance in BUMDC graduates.
