Welcome To Jinnah Medical and Dental College

Jinnah Medical and Dental College was established in 1998 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Jinnah Medical and Dental College is located on Shaheed Millat Road in the heart of Karachi.

The first batch of doctors and dentists graduated from JMDC in 2003 and 2004, while the first batch of pharmacy graduated in 2009. Jinnah Medical and Dental College is affiliated to Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), which offers MBBS, BDS and Pharmacy degrees. Graduates from JMDC are eligible to sit for overseas qualifying exams such as USMLE (ECFMG) and PLAB. 

Program Learning Outcomes

The JMDC syllabus outlines the results that are in line with the mission of Jinnah Medical and Dental College. By the end of the (MBBS, BDS) program, graduates will be able to develop insights and curiosity to acquire modern knowledge and skills. The JMDC program curriculum is in line with the guidelines and recommendations of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and is designed to combine academic knowledge and medical experience with emphasis on the following objectives to help students acquire relevant knowledge. Develop student's oral and written communication skills, promote teamwork, create empathy and compassion and maintain professionalism.

Facilities

The Jinnah Medical and Dental College building has six floors while the Basic Sciences building has five floors. The dean's office, boardroom, student affairs and administrative offices are located on the ground floor. An air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 300 is located on the first floor and is equipped with a multimedia system and state-of-the-art audio-visual system. Spread over several floors, it has a total of eight lecture halls and fourteen seminar rooms. 

All lecture halls are equipped with air conditioning and multimedia facilities. Basic science laboratories, dissection halls, faculty offices and museums are located on the ground, third and fourth floors. JMDC Dental Hospital is located on the second floor and consists of outpatient clinics, dental laboratories, dental museums and dental faculty offices. JMDC aims to set local and global standards for patient outcomes to create a better culture for 21st century physicians, educators and researchers to foster a transformational experience for the benefit of all humanity.
