District Headquarters Hospital Vehari was established in 1976 (with 42 beds) and later its number of beds was upgraded to 125 beds in 1983. In 2017, the hospital was upgraded to 300 beds as it was also included in the revamping scheme. The hospital is located near New East Colony on Hasilpur Road, Vehari. The total area of ??this hospital is 205 kanals. The hospital is providing services not only to the residents of Vehari district but also to the residents of adjoining districts.

The District Headquarters Hospital is headed by a Medical Superintendent who is a Grade 18 officer. It is assisted by the Additional Medical Superintendent, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Nursing Superintendent and New Management Structure (NMS) officers.

Services 

The hospital has 12 departments, CT-Scan, Dialysis Unit, Paeds Nursery and CCU and provides services such as diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illness, injury and other physical and mental disorders. The hospital has two emergencies, including a newly established trauma center providing 24/7 services.
