District Headquarters Hospital Sheikhupura is located on Main Sargodha Road, about 1 km from Bati Chowk. It is providing services not only to the residents of Sheikhupura district but also to the residents of adjoining districts. District Headquarters Hospital Sheikhupura was established in 1922 and the first regular medical superintendent was appointed in 1969. The total area of ??the hospital is 218 kanals and 5 marlas. The open ground of the hospital is 178 kanals and covers about 40 kanals. There are three different locations. The hospital is located at a distance of 4 to 10 km from the main building. 

The hospital has 18 departments, CT-Scan, dialysis unit, paeds nursery and CCU and provides services such as diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illness, injury and other physical and mental disorders.

The hospital has more than 15 wards and the total number of beds at present is 648. There are 48 beds in male and female wards, 24 beds in medical ICU, 27 beds in CCU, 25 beds in surgical ward 96 in burn unit 5 in dengue, 10 beds in I ward 10 and 10 beds in ENT ward. Chest Ward 32, Dialysis Ward 20, Police Hospital has 18 beds. The total number of beds in the trauma center is 115. The second building, located 5 km from the main building, has 54 beds in Gaini Ward, 16 in Nursery Ward, 94 in Children's Ward and 40 in Children's Emergency Ward. 

The District Headquarters Hospital is headed by a Medical Superintendent who is a Grade 19 officer. It is assisted by the Additional Medical Superintendent, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Nursing Superintendent and New Management Structure (NMS) officers.
